It took me ages to type this up on myspace, so here comes an unashamed wholesale cut n paste...
01) How many concerts have you been to?
Well Glasto 5 times and probably getting on for 20 other gigs on top too I should think
02) What bands have you seen live?
Prodigy (twice), Chili's, Carter USM (ha!) Jesus and Mary Chain, Hot Chip, Duran Duran, Kylie (twice!) the Mighty Hacksaw and quite a few pub gigs. Also have seen Richard Cheese play in Vegas! Yeah! Also, Orbital, Athlete, Travis and Zero 7 too. And all the Glasto bands on top of that too.
03) What was your first concert?
I think Carter The Unstoppable Sex Machine, Probably around 1994ish
04) Most Recent Concert
Hot Chip supported by Grovesner, May 2006
05) What's the best concert you've ever been to?
Probably the first time I saw Athlete at the Anson Rooms. They only had one album out and everyone in the crowd new every word to every song. It was brilliant.
06) What's the worst concert you've ever been to?
It pains me to say it, but despite them having been around forever, the Chili's were good, but not amazing - I wouldn't rush back. (See redeeming note about the Chili's gig further below)
07) Where is the best venue to go to concerts?
Glasto rocks beyond belief, but you can't beat the Fleece in Bristol for something smaller scale
08) What's been the worst injury you've ever gotten from a gig?
Numerous bruises from taller people with lumpy elbows. Ouch
09)Have you ever met a band you've seen?
Yep! Went drinking post-gig with Richard Cheese and his band. They took us up the stratosphere tower when it was closed to the public. Rock n Roll!
10)What band have you seen the most times?
Athlete win at 4 gigs - twice in Bristol and twice at Glasto
11)Do you like going to concerts?
Yes - preferably when I'm not the designated driver though. Can't beat Glasto either.
12)What band would you love to see?
Coldplay again. And Athlete. Again. And Orbital. Again. I missed Queens of the Stone Age a few years ago when Dave Grohl was drumming for them - that would have been so good.
13)Who's the biggest band you've seen?
Does David Bowie count as a band? And Duran Duran were the "biggest band in the world" in the 80's apparently.
14) What concert are you going to next?
No idea. Already scheming how I'm going to get a ticket for Glasto 07
15) Have you ever been kicked out of a venue?
When I was at the Jesus and Mary Chain (aged 16) some enormous goth decided it would be "funny" to pick up the short guy (yeah me) and boost him up onto the crowd. Except he underestimated how small and light I was and threw me clear over 5 rows of people onto a security guard in front of the stage... Needless to say I was shown out through a side door.
Needless to say I then went back round the front door and blagged my way back in again.
16) Have you ever been on the front row?
Flown over it (see no. 15)
17) Have you ever caught a drum stick/plectrum thrown off stage?
Nope
18)What's the longest time you've been in a queue for?
Waiting a couple of hours to get into Glasto 02 during a security lockdown when some disgruntled non ticket holders decided to try and put a JCB through the fence.
19)What is the best concert memory you've got?
A big singalong with Coldplay to 'Yellow' at Glasto 05. Also at the Chili's gig in Manchester there was a superb moment as they played Californication and threw a red light over the crowd recreating on the screens the album cover artwork. Kinda wierd and only a few of us spotted it, but a top top moment. Moby covering"Creep" too.
20)What was the longest Concert you've attended?
The 6 day sesh of doing Glasto Weds-Mon. And being out of my tree for most of it.
21)Things you hate to see at concerts?
Tall people and girls on their boyfriends shoulders.
22) Funniest thing you've heard at a concert?
Richard Cheese doing covers of Slipknot in a lounge style. Har Mar Superstar is also comedy gold.
23) Who was with you at the time?
Giles for RC and I think maybe Mark for Har Mar
24) Have you ever cried at a concert?
Yes, a little *blush*
25) Have you ever fainted or felt unwell at a concert?
I saw Turin Brakes after I'd drank an entire bottle of Rum. Didn't feel too special during that I can assure you
26) Have you ever booed at a band?
Not as I recall
27) Have you ever thrown something on stage? (trying to purposely hit someone)
No. Its not a very nice thing to do
28) Do you get any merch from concerts?
Brusies and t-shirts
29) Who puts on a kick-ass show?
Fatboy Slim, Moby, Orbital, Prodigy (in no particular order)
30)Finally: What would be your ideal show?
The next one.
