Okey dokey, all 5 of you (Bouncer, Shrub, Wheeler, Em and Jess) have received an email detailing places to write to (along with some of your own ideas). I'd like to organise a quiz on a staurday evening in Sep, but before we can book anything letters need to be sent to the companies for prizes. I dont want to have a quiz with no prizes
Please liase with each other as i'm not doing the fundraising for you!!!!
If you cant do it on here or email/msn, set aside 1/2 hr at Des next week to meet and discuss stuff.

Nice 1 bouncer, Just a quick question farms, are we having an age limit? or under certain age with parent etc... if we can get ten yr olds in then i'll be able to get around 10-20ish more people.... you know, a sort of family quiz, what do ya think farms???

Well the questions will be pub quiz standard ane there will be a bar, so wouldnt imagine 10 yr olds could sit still for a couple of hours (i mean, you lot have trouble!), but will have to think about it...

Can everyone updat eme if they have other prizes pls and the places they've written to.
I've booked the hall. We're using the church hall on North Street, Downend. It has a capacity of 150 and the quiz will be from 8-11. The hall is booked from 6.30 - 11.30 and only cost £12. So spread the news.
I'll get some posters / letters done to hand out

Okey dokey, a list of prizes so far....
2 tins of chocs from cadburys 2 tickets for bristol zoo £20 of tesco stuff 2 bottles of wine 1 tin of quality street 4 tickets for lazerquest (we blagged tonight!) some car polishy stuff from Motaman
Not too shabby, we'll try a few more local places over the next couple of days.
and ps Never go in Revolution (the record shop in Staple Hill), i asked them for a voucher and the old woman told me we couldnt have anything but to get all the scouts to buy cds from her shop - "i said if can give me a voucher then we'd spread the good word" (i love a bit of blackmail!), but she refused and told me to spread the good word anyway, so i said that i'd tell everyone never to go in there and buy cds from cheaper stores or online (play.com is very good!). So there we have it - spread the word - avoid Revolution, they charge too much for cds and arent helpful!
